Joyce Yin

Soprano Joyce Yin, praised by New York Concert Review for the "otherworldly quality" of her singing, enjoys an active schedule of opera and concert engagements showcasing the flexibility and versatility of her voice. Recognized for her depth of emotional connection in both dramatic and comic roles, Joyce’s 2016-2017 season includes the roles of Belinda (Dido & Aeneas), Gilda (Rigoletto), and Giulietta (I Capuleti e i Montecchi). Highlights from the past season include her Lincoln Center debut as Adele (Die Fledermaus) and performances as Morgana (Alcina) and Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro). An expressive concert soloist, Joyce recently sang as the soprano soloist in Messiah with the Buffalo Philharmonic and later this year performs with NYU woodwind faculty in Bach’s Wedding Cantata. Joyce is a winner of the Met Auditions Audience Choice Award and the Musical Merit Foundation of San Diego. She graduated with her M.M. in Opera Performance from Arizona State University and currently resides in New York City.
