Kristin Renée Young, soprano, received her Master’s degree from Boston University and studies with Sharon Daniels. Hailing from Philadelphia, Kristin graduated magna cum laude with a B.A. in Music from Barnard College of Columbia University, where she studied with Harolyn Blackwell. Recent and upcoming performances include Zerlina with Opera Company of Brooklyn; a workshop of a new opera, Bounce, composed by Daniel Bernard Roumain, with Ardea Arts; a new work, Anon, by Errollyn Wallen with Center for Contemporary Opera; and Carol in Tamandua with International Brazilian Opera Company. Other roles include First Flower in Gotham Chamber Opera’s production of La Hija de Rappaccini, Despina, Tytania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream), Mrs. Julian (Owen Wingrave), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), Constance (Dialogues of the Carmelites), Pamina, Nanetta (Falstaff), Servilia (La clemenza di Tito), and Carolina (Il Matrimonio segreto).
