Zen Wu

Zen Wu studied biochemistry and music at the University of California San Diego. She spent two seasons in the San Diego Opera Chorus following the completion of her undergraduate studies and in 2014 made her professional mainstage debut in Southern California as Lauretta in the Riverside Lyric Opera’s Gianni Schicchi. Ms. Wu has since established herself as a lauded interpreter of both canon and rarely performed contemporary vocal works on both the East and West coasts. She most recently appeared as a guest artist of the San Diego Opera singing Madame Mao in excerpts from John Adams' Nixon in China.
