Marisa Karchin

New York-based soprano Marisa Karchin completed her Master’s in Vocal Performance at Mannes School of Music in 2016, after earning a BA from Yale University. During the 2015-2016 season, she performed with Opera Theater of Pittsburgh, Utopia Opera, and Opera Company of Brooklyn, and debuted at Carnegie Hall with the Yale Symphony Orchestra. Marisa is an avid performer of new music and has recently appeared with the Center for Contemporary Opera, the Washington Square Contemporary Music Society, the Mannes Contemporary Music Ensemble, and C4: The Choral Composer- Conductor Collective. Favorite roles include Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Poppea (L’incoronazione di Poppea), and Shirley Temple in a new production of Robert Ashley’s DUST.
