Rachel Duval is a lyric soprano living and working in New York, NY. She made her television debut singing on the Spanish National Television (TVE) series Insuperables to wide acclaim in July 2015. On stage, she performed in Don Giovanni (Donna Elvira) in 2012, Le Nozze di Figaro (Contessa) in 2013, and Orfeo ed Euridice (Euridice) in 2014 with the Barcelona Opera Studio. She performed widely throughout Barcelona for the past five years, and studied with baritone Roberto Accurso and coach and Liceu pianist Mark Hastings. She made her formal opera debut with Opera Cultura in San Jose, CA singing Paula in Rio de Mujeres in May 2016, and then sang Rosalba in Emerald City Opera’s production of Florencia en el Amazonas. In 2017, Rachel will be part of the world premiere of Symphony of Poems by Nilda Scalisé in Madrid. Rachel currently studies with acclaimed soprano Pamela Armstrong, and holds a Bachelors of Music from the University of Washington.
