Newly transplanted mezzo soprano Aumna Iqbal has been creating magic and causing mayhem in California with the likes of the Los Angeles Philharmonic, The Industry, Pacific Opera Project, Pacific Symphony, and Center Stage Opera. Roles: Carmen, Dorabella (Cosi fan tutte), Komponist (Ariadne auf Naxos), Cherubino (Le Nozze di Figaro), Suzuki (Madama Butterfly), Angelina (La Cenerentola), Pepa (Goyescas), Mrs. Herring (Albert Herring). World Premieres: HOPSCOTCH (The Industry), ICELAND (Overtone Industries), Nimbus (The Industry and LA Philharmonic). Concert: Brahms Alto Rhapsody, Bach Mass in B minor, Beethoven Mass in C, Beethoven Choral Fantasy. Aumna also studies circus skill aerial silks, and holds a Masters in Musicology from Oxford University, 2011, and a BA in Music from Stanford University, 2009.
