Award-Winning Writing Duo Gives Voice to Kiki di Montparnasse, Iconic 1920s Model and Muse

New York, NY. April 12, 2018. Cantanti Project presents the world premiere of Tabula Rasa, a new jazz opera by award-winning writing duo Felix Jarrar and Bea Goodwin that tells the 1920s feminist story of model/muse Kiki de Montparnasse, on May 4th, 5th, 11th, and 12th, at 8pm as part of the 2018 Opera Fest organized by the New York Opera Alliance in partnership with Opera America.

Tabula Rasa explores the sensual and ardent nature of Kiki's relationships and artistry as she takes her identity and fate into her own hands and gives voice to one of the most iconic women women of the early 20th century.

This work includes adult themes of relationships, sexuality, and female nudity.

Tabula Rasa is an immersive show capturing the spirit of Parisian 1920s night-life. Audiences will be walked by the characters between four intimate environments.
